thats all he does, he never has the balls to call someone out directly. Its safe to say these things in the comfort of his home behind a computer. Id like to see him try this on the streets of new york.

    now that would be

Maybe you're right. I really thought the past incidents were presidents that forgot a mic was on or were overheard by a mic on a camera or something.

Either way, it's funny as hell and he has nothing to be ashamed of.

Sometimes you leak things for a reason. Obama is no fool. He got criticized for speaking publicly about the Gates affair. So here he let the network be the bad guy by airing off-the-record remarks. He knew they wouldn't be able to resist.

Video didn't look like it was planned but if anyone could pull that off it is BO. Is a master orator and politician.

Oh, give us a break. On the Gates issue, Obama spoke - by his own admission - without knowing what was going on, yet injected a controversial opinion anyway and inflamed an already intense situation. Big difference between what happened there and an idiot rapper showing the world his azz for the umpteenth time on MTV. Kanye West's stunt hardly called for a presidential opinion, on or off the record.

So, if you're correct and this was a contrived leak, what possible purpose did it serve? To let us know that for once, Obama is on the same page with the American people?

From the anti-Obama position, he looks better if this was the accident we all perceive it to be. If it was contrived, then he's just an egomaniac who loves having the media fawn over his every utterance.

    "He's a jackazz."
    "You're absolutely right, JB."

For many reasons. Washington news leaks like a sieve and it has for decades. Politicians learn how to use the press overtly and covertly to get a message out. But sometimes it's simpler than that. Politicians leak petty stuff like "he's a jerk" on unimportant topics to establish a rapport with reporters and to gauge how they handle off-the-record remarks. It's valuable knowledge for the future.

that guy is racist. he thinks that if i make racist comments in new york that black folks will beat me up. as if blacks are like crazed violent thugs that live in violent communities and kill people and generally make ghettos of their neighborhoods. like black people would get violent just over words! almost like the muslims and their issues with cartoons. that guy is so racist. everyone knows black folks are not a violent criminal underclass that need to be coddled and calmed with government welfare money. and they appreciate my right to speak my mind just as much, if not more, than everyone else.

thats why dr king was so powerful. non-violence is the black man's favorite thing.
