I do. I definitely do think I have an obligation to pay taxes. But you're pretending that it's not forcibly collected.

Only the taxes I owe...which can be anything the government says it is, right? If nothing can stop the government from righteously claiming more of your income in the name of "paying your fair share", then nothing can realistically be said to belong to you, beyond the government's reach.

No reasonable republican thinks all taxes are unfair. They think that they are excessive, and need to be scaled back. They are aghast at the idea that a government running trillion dollar deficits each year has the gall to ask for more money to waste.

Furthermore, taxes should be a means for the state to pay for its expenses, not the instrument of wealth redistribution (class-warfare).

I've noticed you've a tendency to make appeals to authority. If it's common knowledge, you should have little trouble citing some examples.

Everything I've seen indicates the opposite. The democrats have moved very far left. Class-warfare is now their trademark. Healthcare is considered a right, abortion is under no circumstances to even be questioned lest you be labeled a bigoted hateful misogynist (and they call us absolutists), and the very notion that not everyone pays what liberals consider "their fair share" sets teeth to gnashing.

Perhaps, but you claiming that taxation is not forcible makes you sound like a kook, too.

I know, isn't it great. LOL.....I don't know we bother even starting new threads because you are so right, the argument is the same, the participants are the same and LSUPride123 still doesn't get it.

I am only kidding Pride.....please don't start calling me names. :D

I would probably directly hire 3 people.

I would most likely spend the other 5 people's wages on contract services / marketing / etc. etc. Thus indirectly employing others.

But nope. I give it to the Govt. to squander.

First 100 years of this nation it was illegal to have a federal tax.

It was NEVER an obligation. It is NOW a penalty.

Like yourself. Only because you owe no taxes because of loopholes. You still must file for taxes as an obligation of citizenship.
