If the EIC takes money out of middle class pockets, then the 15% rate on investment income does the same.

I'll have to take your word for it. I do not mind paying taxes to live and thrive in this country.

You are saddling him with job losses incurred in Bush's last fiscal year. When you count the jobs from the point the recession turned around in late 2009, Obama has added 4.5 million private-sector jobs and cut 400,000 government jobs.

Obama is averaging +0.84 percent annual job growth in his term. That places him ahead of Bush, who saw +0.51 percent growth in his first term and -0.84 percent in his second term.

Your opinion. But there are multiple reasons why buisinesses are not spending . . . and fear of taxes comes in around #8.

Why companies aren’t hiring more workers

Yes, this is the Republican spin when the incumbent has 30 straight months of positive job growth and 12 straight quarters of positive GDP. Democrats, in turn, have to remind voters just how abysmal both numbers were under the last Republican administration.

This is what we call "spin"

CNN concludes: "The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate if you look at the most favorable period and category for the administration. But overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession."

However, Obama's job growth percentages trail far behind those of some other recent presidents, including Bill Clinton (+2.60 percent and +1.60 percent), Ronald Reagan (+1.75 percent and +2.53 percent) and even Jimmy Carter (+2.30 percent).

It's actually pretty funny. CPAs with gloks.

Total spin. Six months of Bush's last fiscal year and then 12 months of Obama's budgetless government. Obama's net jobs are pitiful, the unemployment rate hangs above 8 percent and labor force participation is at an all time low.

You realize you are saddeling Bush's first terms with the recession he walked into. The dame thing you bitched about me doing with Obama. Hypocrite. Anyway, Bush was also terrible. That doesn't make Obama not terrible.

smh. What a poor and un educated statement. The EIC takes money you and I earn and gives it to a single mother workign at Mcdonalds or a software engineer with 8 kids. The 15% rate on capital gains allows people to keep more of the money they earn.

It's been used to take from the rich and give to the poor.

I'm equating the two because leftists seem not to see any better purpose for taxation.

Establishing taxpayer-funded abortions in your party platform is pretty goddamned extreme.

My anecdotal evidence may be nonsense, but the facts are not. Forcing religious institutions to pay for procedures they find unconscionable is extreme, to say nothing of unconstitutional.

Uh, I think you missed the first two graphs. In the first graph, the 49% sampled thought the democrats were increasingly too liberal compared with 38% who thought they were about right. In the second, the 41% sampled though the republicans were increasingly too conservative compared with 40% who though they were about right.

And in the third graph, 52% of independents regard the democrats as too liberal compared with 33% who think they're about right.

And you say that shows that independents are "split"? I call it "a clear majority of independents think the democrats are too liberal."

100% bull shit. This is the biggest lie going right now. Businesses are not sitting on their cash because of Obama or his policies. they are sitting on their cash because there is no demand. Believe me, if there was demand in the market place those businesses would be ramping up inventories and hiring additional staff regardless of who is the President. This notion that the day Romney wins all these businesses will start spending and the whole thing will be hunky dory is absolute shit.

Good luck selling that snake oil to swing voters. Most Americans are better off than we were when Obama took Office. 92% of us are employed, more of us are covered with medical insurance, expensive endless Republican wars have been wrapped up, the economy continues to grow, and bin Ladin is dead.

But it is improper to also saddle Obama with Bush's sins.

You have the brainpower of three men: Larry, Moe & Curley

It allows people who earn money from investments to owe less tax than people who work for salaries or business profits. Income is income.
