I would agree, but Hurts, IMO clearly looked like him improved in his time this year.

We need to drive a nail in that coffin early September in Austin.

And when I say the year of Texas I mean in the Big 12. Nothing more than that.

About 70% of the folks here are running around like they just won the lottery. Riley will probably make him a better passer but not sure by how much.

He can run with the ball and I'm betting that will be leaned on heavily and see what else shakes out. More of a stop gap instead of having to start the true freshman or the Mordecai kid who I think is a sophomore but not sure.

Hard to upgrade on consecutive Heismans lol. But you’re right on Hurts. I still think he puts up big numbers in that offense though.

agree. Stop gap. Hurts is going to learn what it is to not have the best offensive line and RBs to protect him. He will have to be a quick decision maker like the previous QBs. I don't know if he can. I don't think so.

OU replacing 4/5 on the OL, not like he is facing SEC defensive fronts but still a tall task.

It's easy to replace a Big 12 OL. Just go to Spain and recruit a few matadors.

Hurts carved LSU up a year ago. I think he’ll surprise a lot of people.

Glad the OU kid was granted a release to transfer to WV after initially being barred from transferring in-conference (despite being passed over by a third TRANSFER QB).

Plus, Riley is going to get the most out of him. It’s what real OC’s do.
