Gonna ride this one out in Orlando  Seriously, good luck to everyone in the middle of this thing. My brother got out of NO Friday and went to Lafayette...his girlfriend works in the ER so she has to stay in NO. Rest of the family hunkered down in Lafayette for this one.
Will be in Orange Beach tomorrow but it shouldnt be that bad. Good luck to everyone on the east side even if there isnt any damage. Having no power or water for a week is not something I can adjust to quickly.
I'm just in Baton Rouge, so I'm not at all concerned except for the likelihood of losing power, but best wishes for everyone else in the state.
Riding it out here in Broussard, LA. They say the eye supposed go right up HWY90, not good for me considering my house is about 100yds away from it. Ready to rumble though, got a generator and alot gas and food to last a few days. Good Luck to all, and be safe afterwards.
Sorry I didn't think about it earlier, but we should have a forum to sponser families that need to evacuate. Hotel's get full even if you can afford them. It is probably too late now, but if you need a place to stay (pets welcome), I will put any family up. If you know of a family on the road that may not be reading this or if it is your family, let them know I am there for them. Call 334-514-6540, mention TF. You all are welcome. God Bless you all who are riding this out. Hopefully it will get weak, and just be a blip on the map. BamaBengalTiger. Oh and I am 5 miles north of Montgomery, AL.
The outer bands are already hammering New Orleans. 60-70 mph gusts already. At lease according to that guy that was trying to give a report fron the west bank on CNN.
staying in BR south of I-12, off of Sherwood. nieghbor has a generator so we're good to go (or stay as the case may be).
i'm riding it out in Fort Polk, but i got family in Broussard, LA. That just refuse to leave. Good luck to everybody out there and be safe
We are in Wichita Falls, TX. It's 2 hours W/NW of Dallas. If anyone needs a place, let us know. A bit out of the way from south La, but we did have quite a few after Katrina.
