. What he said. Chin up Navy. I'd trade going to the game to be able to go and help. You'll be talking about it for years to come. Watch where you step. :thumb:
USNAVYTIGER You are a hero and i wasnt questioning your heart. I think you guys are awesome. You are perfectly entitled to be disappointed in what you are going to miss. Thanks and God Bless You and your co-workers.
im no hero... but thanks. any kind of appreciation isnt shunned or unwelcomed, but it is kinda weird. im no hero, those marines and soldiers and sailors in iraq and afghan. are heroes. at least I don't have to dodge bullets anymore! :thumb: Im going to ask if after weve done all we can, if they can just fly me off, and ill get a one way ticket back to norfolk... that might make things a whole lot better...
humanitarian...yes... I will probably get a star, but I would gladly trade some little piece of metal for a LSU/ASU game ticket and a valid leave chit! :thumb: haha
Kripp and USNavy I live in New Orleans well atleast I did anyways I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart
thanks man. if you happen to still be there... look for me... ill be the one with the red cross on his cranial in the helo's/or lcac's giving out food and diapers!
Last post for maybe 2-3 weeks (tigerforums.com is blocked out on the ship) so thanks for all the encouraging words... its gonna be a long day.... should be in the NO area in two days. Thanks guys... you guys don't make it so bad. :thumb:
It's a tremendous thing for you to be a part of. Years from now you will be able to look back with pride that you didn't just think about it, you were there getting it done. It's enough to just wear the uniform and serve your country, as many of us on here did, but you have a special chance to really make a difference, and I salute you and your shipmates. Get it done Gator Navy! :usaflagwa :laflagwav
