Doesn't the New Orleans area only have about half of the pre-Katrina population? Maybe that will make evacuations run more smoothly this time.
I dunno, still isn't comforting. Just got in from Sears, proud new owner of Craftsman 5600 watt generator and 10,000 btu window A/C. I think I got the last one in Baton Rouge, had to contend with a small riot at 10 am this morning tryin to get in there. Home Depot in Denham Springs says they're gettin a truck in this evening, that oughtta be a chinese fire drill. Of course now that I'm prepared it's gonna go elsewhere....
We appreciate it and I got your back. I bought a generator in the post Rita sale and it still in the box out in the garage with a all-weather 150 foot heavy duty extension cord, 20 gallons of gas in cans, and 2 quarts of oil. It has diverted hurricanes for three years now . . .
Red, I hope you've cranked that baby up since you bought it, if not, you might want to make sure it starts! Nothing worse than trying to get a generator running after the power goes off!
true. been there, done that. i agree. and testing the generator and making sure everything is in top order will only strengthen that mojo. :thumb:
