yeah... i talked about wingman for a while... brett should do everything within his power to make sure that d*ck is kept off of these boards...
i agree on 49! after i talked to stacey, i got in stop and go traffic a few more times. 6 hours to get to/thru shreveport. i thought maybe i should have left a bit earlier but i didnt get up as soon as i wanted. but it sounds like it wouldnt have made any difference.
It wouldn't have. My parents left Baton Rouge @ 9:30 last night (didn't want to deal with the power outtages, etc.) and didn't arrive in Plano until 7:30 this morning.
Just the first big rain band, I don't expect the windy ones to happen until after midnight. Hopefully the power will stay on until daylight. It's frustrating trying to deal with the storm in the dark with no power.
Eww... I have 4 pine trees around my house... just realized they are all to the southeast... sucks.. and damn pat shingleton won't stop talking about those "shallow root" pine trees...
just got a report (I consider to be reliable) Tornado passed through East Houma about an hour ago. Around Ellender High School for those farmilar with the area.
Not taking pain pills tonight so if I got to get woke up I can. Gonna try and sleep and get up for about 5! 10pm info just out. The major problem is the speed is dropping. At 4pm it was NW at 18mph, at 7pm 17mph and now its at 16mph, we sure as hell dont need this thing slowing down and drowning us. The pressure has stopped dropping and the winds are still 115mph. Sorry Nutria but the track is still the same taking dead aim at your neck of the woods. They are predicting though now it to be a Cat 2 right after landfall tommorrow afternoon but the wave readings have seas of 24 to 26 feet at the center and to the right of the storm. The dry air is slowly killing this thing just not quick enough! For those in Baton Rouge from the looks of the track it appears that y'all could have Cat 1 force winds by Tuesday! Everyone try and get some sleep gonna be a rough day tommorrow!!!
