Yeah just got a text from her she is hoping to make it home by 7pm I think she said she was almost to pleasant, texas not sure where that is along the route but she did say traffic was horrible! It took Podkatt and his family 9 hours to get to Houston from Avery Island and he said they took back roads until they got to the state line!
Touche', I certainly have positive thoughts and wish for the optimal situation. Just hoping on this end that everyone takes it serious and evacuates. There were a few posts in between yours and mine that were commenting on others saying they were staying, and we have spoke with a few individuals in N.O. that are staying - I just don't get that cavalier attitude, at least not with family involved.
Like Crip said, I'm in BR and so is my dad. Rest of family has all left the state. Once this thing passes we need to get a "roll call" type thread going so everyone can check in so we'll know they made it through.
I wonder if Ramah will let us know this time that he is ok, instead of us just picturing he and his bottle of whiskey riding the storm out in Happy Jack...
That was horrible, I remember feeling like **** because I didnt try everything in my power to get that guy out, and then to find out that is wasnt real was just horrible.
