Just heard that a final decision on the game will be announced tomorrow morning. So it looks good unless something drastic happens overnight.
Reading the instructions for the power generator, the manufacturer warned that one SHOULD NOT use fuel containing methanol. Does anyone know why? and is the gasoline that we buy nowadays also bad since they contain ethanol? Does all gasoline we get now contain 10% ethanol (like what they posted at Albertson's , for example) I am curious if the probability cone is a composite of the projections of all the major computer models?
It's the GFDL. It is the most reliable of the models, because it takes into account more atmospheric conditions than the other models. Usually a model is only based on ONE atmospheric condition. G F D L... happens to be my initials.:hihi: Pay attention to daddy.
This crap just won't end, will it? http://www.wafb.com/Global/story.asp?S=8918815 We might have beautiful, clear weather on Saturday and not have a game.... o: This is freaking ridiculous
one of the guys on TV said that at 5 days out, they have a 250 mile window of accuracy . So whichever course the NHC predicts is the line, and the cone represents 250 miles each way.
Pretty cool loop...takes a few seconds to load, but worth it. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/watl/loop-rb.html FWIW, ESPNU just stated that LSU-ASU will go on as scheduled. Here's hopin'!
I clearly do not understand weather patterns. All I know is that for two nights, all projections have had that storm heading STRAIGHT Northwest. It turned south, and every projection had it immediately turning northwest from wherever it currently was. It turned even more southwest, still projections going directly northwest. Is there a Low pressure system hovering over Mexico that is just going to throw it into the gulf? What about that High Pressure system right on LA? That would throw it west towards Texas. EDIT: I realize I did not save these pictures and they will probably update throughout the night, so if there is not a High pressure system over LA tomorrow morning, there was one there at the time of the post.
