Experience will definitely help with Gustav. Now only are preparations better but many people now have the necessary supplies, equipment, and a plan of action. Another huge factor will be the federal and state response. Edith Bunker Blanco is gone and Governor Jindal is being highly proactive and visible. Unfortunately for New Orleans they still have Nagin as mayor. He said he would return to the city to prepare yet was still on the floor at the DNC convention just a few hours ago. If there was any mayor in this country that you would expect to be present for emergency preparation, you would think it would be Nagin. Tiger fans, I just received a sign! Sat down at the Dell to do some work offline, and set my media player to play songs on random selection.
