Nootch is loading up the Storm button for just that week!

Just thinking about you, haven't heard for awhile. You better? Glad to see you up. :thumb:

Wow, list in hand and everything is checked. I hate to say it but if there was one single positive coming from Katrina, that would be disaster awareness. FEMA was reshaped and has been getting high marks since. People are better prepared and looking out fot others.

My heart goes out to all who lay in the path of any storm. I wish someone could wave a wand, but what is sure is that the Cajun folk know how to keep it together. Stay classy people! :thumb:

Experience will definitely help with Gustav. Now only are preparations better but many people now have the necessary supplies, equipment, and a plan of action.

Another huge factor will be the federal and state response. Edith Bunker Blanco is gone and Governor Jindal is being highly proactive and visible.

Unfortunately for New Orleans they still have Nagin as mayor. He said he would return to the city to prepare yet was still on the floor at the DNC convention just a few hours ago. If there was any mayor in this country that you would expect to be present for emergency preparation, you would think it would be Nagin. What a complete moron!

That one, or the purple one below it where it appears Gustav ricochets off the text box floating in the ocean.

Tiger fans, I just received a sign! Sat down at the Dell to do some work offline, and set my media player to play songs on random selection. Over 250choices in there, and what's the 1st one it plays to me? PRE-GAME BABY! We're playing football this weekend, there can no longer be any doubt!

    GEAUX!!!
