Polls have shown that Obama is the only democrat that would beat every republican in the general election. Hillary lost to McCain and Hucakbee. Edwards lost only to McCain.
That poll was 3 days before the primary, before Hillary went on TV to cry and show emotion, there was no poll taken after that. You have to include all the factors.
IMO, Rudy beats Hillary by winning the exact same states Bush won both elections. In a general election against Rudy, Hillary wouldn't win one southern state, including Arkansas. To be honest, I think Hillary is the DEM candidate that McCain could beat. But like I said, IMO, Obama beats McCain or Huckabee. Of all the candidates, I'd love to see a Rudy-Hillary race. But I think Rudy is just about done.
seriously, its time to stop talking about Huckleberry. he's toast. its all mccain and romney. i think romney will get a bump with the looming recession (bump relative to other repubs. not sure whether that holds true in the general.)
Ron Paul IMO is the only candidate that can beat the DEMS. He doesn't have near the amount of dirt Rudy/Romney have.
Paul's ideas are too out there to get over 10% of the popular vote. Maybe noone can beat the dems this time, but if someone can, it aint Paul
Key words right there: "in my opinion." If Ron Paul can only place third at best behind the other Republican candidates, there isn't even a snowball's chance in hell he can beat the Dems. It just ain't happening.
