Yeah, that's brilliant. It should be a standard that anyone who is vocal about their opposition to the president/administration should have all their legal rights confiscated and their safety compromised...unless, of course, that president is a Democrat. Then we should have to follow the laws.

A Rove-engineered Political Action Commitee that called itself "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" slimed Kerry, led by a guy who wasn't even in Vietnam with Kerry. It never existed before the election. It was not one of the navy veterans groups that have met for years. Many of the swift boat veterans backed Kerry including all of the ones who were actually in his boat. You can't prove this one either. To quote SabanFan, "Just because you say it doesn't make it so."
You go look it up. He made up every event to get a purple heart. Talk about discrediting people........these guys who served with him told the truth and what did the Dem's do? Called them every name in the book but they never argued the facts. Kerry's commanding officer did not recommend him for 1 purple heart. Kerry recommended himself..........that friggin' communist gold-digger.
That's why they are using him as the headhunter. It's three and a half years to the election and the democrats are not waiting until the last minute. They are exploiting the weaknesses the republicans have over the war, the economy, the debt, social security, the scandals, the hurricanes, and the appointments while the getting is good. Dean will hammer the administration because he will not run in 2008. The democrats will go way moderate in 2008, but right now they will let Dean bash the republicans from the left. Then the sage, moderate Democrats will step up and seem much more reasonable than Dean to an electorate that is looking for a moderate. McCain will do somethng similar to get the republican administration. Some other republican will take the worst shots at the neo-cons, leaving McCain to come across as a reasonable moderate.
One Republican weakness is social security? Bush tried to get a discussion on social security and all Pelosi could do was say "everything is fine with social security....leave it alone." You are just making up ****. See that's what I'm talking about........you make up ****.

Sorry, there is not a shred of truth in this statement and it has been argued out completely. All of Kerry decorations were approved up the Navy chain of command. Only unproved allegations came from the slimers. Look, this was all discussed over a year ago around here on many threads and all the arguments came out. Just like your boy Rove, nothing came of the allegations against Kerry but the political damage was done because some people believe anything they want to.

Fix things? If that is, in fact, their objective, might I inform you that they have failed miserably. As a matter of fact, the next presidential election will be won by the candidate that can do the best job of convincing everyone how they will clean up all of Bush's messes.
