I'm with Salty on this one, they're NEVER too young. They should be able to quote you all the stats Very early. View attachment 12184
I'm with the consensus...just as long as they don't sit near the student section. Unless you plan on bringing ear muffs...
That was the rule in my family. However, in recent years, the stadium has become far less family friendly (cough07SouthCarolinacough) so there's that to consider.
The Indian Mounds and Mike the Tiger were always must stops when I walked to the LSU Post Office with my Mom every day back in the early 50's while my Dad attended LSU Law School. My first game in Tiger Stadium was a 1953 game aganist Boston College. I think I was three - I only remember the view of the field and Mike the Tiger. I am pretty sure I was ready to go before half time - ldskule:
I have no clue what age I first went to a game I know I was young because I don't remember the stories Mom and Dad tell me about me at games. I plain wasn't allowed to go get snacks except at certain times and if I threw a fit at any time i knew I would "get it" later so decided I wouldn't. I loved Tiger Stadium and I loved the fact that all the adults loved me being there! I think I have posted this before but one of my parents favorite story was when I was about three and we had been tailgating all afternoon and were walking to the stadium. I was on my dad's shoulders and it was POURING down rain! Mom keeps telling Dad that maybe we need to head back to the RV and skip this game because she doesn't want me getting sick. Dad yells "Oh we will be fine, don't you know it NEVER rains in Tiger Stadium!!!" About an hour later we are in the stands and the game has started and the rain has stopped! Without any "help" from Dad I lean over to Mom and tug on her arm and say "See Mom, Dad was right it NEVER rains in Tiger Stadium!!!" I don't remember this but I have heard the story so many times that I sometimes think I can!
