Without a doubt things are going in the right direction for him, and I personally think he will have a lot of success. But think back to the DiNardo years here. He brought in some good talent, but the character of some of those players were questionable, and he lost control of his team. I'm not predicting it, but if something like that were to happen to Meyer, he'll be toast. That is why I always wait a few years before passing judgement one way or another Definitely looking good so far, and I pray every night that he keeps it up. I would like nothing better than to still see him on the sidelines 10-15 years from now, because that would mean he's having a tremendous amount of success, and that he remained loyal to us, and didn't jump ship for "greener pastures".
Meyer fifth? Are you kidding? In his third year at the helm he is the most winningest coach in the SEC and has Florida playing for the national championship. What does it take to be a great coach in your eyes? I believe this is only his second year, and prior to the SECCG, he had the same record as Miles. He'll have to do the same thing as Miles---show he can win with his own players. He'll probably have no problem, because I'm sure he'll get pieces to fit the puzzle that is HIS offense. But so far, he gets no more respect from me than Miles. Head to head, they're tied 1-1.:geauxtige
