Carolina BBQ is consistently good but I can't get used to three things.

    1. It's pork, pork, and pork. They don't do beef brisket well if at all.

    2. That thin vinegary BBQ sauce takes some getting used to.

    3. Don't put coleslaw on my BBQ sandwich.

Being from Texas I DO love my brisket, but man....there is something about a bbq pulled pork sandwich with slaw on it that I can't get enough of. GOD bless the pig!!!!!!!!!!
One of the most difficult things to find, bbq wise, now that I've moved to Baltimore is smoked sausage. Very disappointing.

Carolina and Louisiana bbq are both unique, and delicious.
Didn't realize you lived in New Bern. I drove by there a few weeks ago on my way from Charleston to Ocracoke.
