Interesting analysis, but the Saints will likely pick either Young or Leinart.

If Leinart can stay after last year, Young can stay after this year.

Young loves UT & the college life apparently so him staying wouldn't shock me.

He would come back to a still incredibly talented UT team. Why not try for a 2nd title? Young will still be freakin incredible next year.

He will also still be a 1st round pick if he stays....IMO he is too good not to have another great year.

Either way, I would take Leinart over Young in the NFL anyday

If there's anyone that can't see Jay Cutler as being a much better pro prospect than Matt Leinart they are blind.

However neither of them are early 1st round material.

If Brady Quinn leaves, he will be the best pure QB in the draft but will be the third selected. Leinart will be drafted top 5, but will be a bust. Young has the most upside and will be hard for anyone to pass on. Cutler is a solid second rounder, not ready just yet, but will probably develope into a decent starter.

I am a Titans fan, so I can only hope that VY goes pro. We would have a huge plus on whoever we get....

Matt or Reggie-reuniting with Norm Chow
    VY-Back up or replaces McNair!!!!

    PLEASE GO PRO Mr. Young:D

I wouldn't put anything past them. Cutler could probably be drafted in the 2nd round.
    Memorable Saints draft picks.
    Rd 1-Erxleben
    Rd 1-Shawn Knight
Rd 3 or 4 from last year...a WR from Cal that I can't even remember his name, (Chase Lyman) but he had 6 surgeries in his 4 years in college. I don't think he even played 12 games in 4 years. Yet, Haslett drafted him when he could have been picked up as a free agent. Guess what happened to this great talent in the 2nd day of practice (no pads, just shorts)..yep, he got hurt! How shocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just don't see the Saints staying at #2.

My reason is the "Eli Theory". Whoever the Saints draft at #2 just might refuse to play in New Orleans given:

    1. the structure of the city the way it is now
    2. the uncertain behavior between Benson and the state--not really having a solid plan in place as to where they'll play, practice or live.

It depends on who the Saints hire. If they hire a chump, I don't think it is that far off.

If they hire a good candidate, you never know.

I think a player not wanting to go to the Aints will be mocking more than Eli

for what its worth, during an interview late after the game, VY had a little freudian slip when commenting about his relationship with his teammates and said he wanted them to know how much the team meant to him or something when he comes out, errrr, then quickly said IF he comes out.

2 weeks ago he began changing his tune about staying at UT. he's a gone pecawn. would be sweet if he was chosen above leinart.

i think leinart will be an average nfl qb and VY is a wildcard. I like wildcards so id take a flyer on young. cutler wont go in the first. thats bs.

though he'll be better than leinart i think. neither look like big difference makers to me. bush and young could be. if u dont get either of those trade down and get cutler later.
