The Fight song was the first thing I learned how to hum with my mother but didn't actually start loving LSU until I was about 6 I think, my godfather started taking me to games then. So 45 years is my guess. LSU!

Been a fan since the Orange Bowl, I believe at the end of the '61 season when Jerry Stoval played his last game. Loved the 60's. Joe Labruzzo, Captain Billy Ezell, etc. Went LSU in the early 70's. Spent my life going to games, or catching them onthe radio/TV. First child born during LSU Florida game in 1980. Had the radio in the delivery room at Woman's hospital. Been exile in west virginia now for 14 years, though.

On a side note, I spoke with a collegue who is a University of Texas Grad. He said his wife is from Baton Rouge. He said he thought that UT had rabid fans, but nothing like the passion of a Tiger fan. It's in our blood. When they lose, we can't sleep, eat, etc. Like I said, we spend our lives waiting for or going to the next game.

    Go Tigers!

I got this habit from my dad, grandmother and family.
I kind of kept up with LSU sports in the 70's but didn't get serious about watching them until 1987, the earthquake game.
I will say that I was an LSU fan in the 70's, went to Wake Forest at home.
We flew from Sebring, Fla to Gainesville, Fla and attended the LSU vs Fla game around
    79?
I went to the Fla game at home, 11-0 loss around 85?
I went to see the Miami Hurricanes hurricane the Tigers one year and I also went to
saw us play ATM at Kyle Field a few years in the mid 80's.

In the 70's, I really wasn't into sports, being a kid I was into other things, music, etc.

Been following LSU since I was about 8 and got interested in football. I've been attending games since my freshman year in '73.

I would say since birth, but I guess I would say since the 1982 Washington game in Tiger stadium which is about 23 years. I have missed 7 home games since.

Born in Charleston, SC, raised in NJ & PA. Senior year of HS (in PA) all set to go to Penn State, my father comes in from work one day and tells me I need to send for an application to LSU. I asked "where's that"? He tells me Louisiana State University. I ask why and he tells me that the day after I graduate from HS we are moving to Baton Rouge. First LSU football game I attended in Tiger Stadium (September 1960) I was hooked. Figured out the end of my sophmore year if I just scheduled 12 hours a semester I can keep full time student status and get in an extra football season. Worked perfectly. My dad didn't figure out what I had done until it was too late! :hihi:

As a small child I remember listening to John Fergurson Sat. nights and then watching Hap Glaudi during the week (especially loved Hap Halloween when he would replay the Cannon run) MAN... I guess that makes 48 years for me. (Where in the heck did they go?) My wife thinks I'm an idiot on Sat. nights, driving around the Kentucky countryside trying to get the best signal on WWL.:geauxtige :eek:ldskule: :geauxtige :eek:ldskule: :geauxtige :eek:ldskule: :geauxtige :eek:ldskule: :geauxtige :eek:ldskule: :geauxtige :eek:ldskule: :geauxtige :eek:ldskule:
