I took bowling. I would have taken rickety too if I had known about it. There was also a flying course I wanted to take that led to getting a pilot's license but you had to pay a lot to take it to cover the costs. I didn't have that kind of money.

Looks like I'm the old timer here. Started in the fall of 1960, lasted a year and transferred to NSU (Northwestern State University in Natchitoches) Remember LSU football games as a freshman. Had to wear PJ's to games and stand the entire game. ROTC was manditory.

I am an alum, and attended the Old War Skule from 1966-1970. I was fortunate enough to see all of Pistol Pete's home games and our graduation ceremony was the last one to take place in the old Ag Center. Maravich Assembly Center opened the following year.

We're tied, fall of 60 was my first semester also. Just to refresh your memory, the first home game of the season was the "pajama game" for the incoming freshman males, but that was the only such game of the year. As I recall our opening game opponent most, if not all the time I was there (5 football seasons) was the Aggies. Which brings up an interesting piece of trivia, one year we beat aTm, Texas and Arkansas at that time the top 3 teams in the SWC which made us the defacto champions of the Southwest Conference that year.:D

That sounds about right, but at my age I'm lucky to remember what I had for breakfast this morning.:(
