He also had the best season ever and just beat Florida against heavy odds. Losing so many cogs from last year, players and coaches, shouldn’t be ignored.

And yet we were ranked #5 preseason. Everybody including da Coach O said we'd be better on Defense this year. Was looking at Bama's losses just now. 9 Starters in the first 3 rounds. 3 Dlineman & 1st round OT. We just aren't close to that, I mean the next man up thing.

You had more issues with our offense than our defense?

    That's insane.

We were forced to start 2 different freshman QBs for the majority of the season. We had arguably the best receiver in LSU history opt out before the season. We had another elite WR opt out later in the season as well as our stud TE. Our entire O line pretty much had to be replaced.

We did ok on offense given all of that.

And I'm not for necessarily supporting keeping our current 2 headed monster at OC. But what we put out on that field on the defensive side of the ball was beyond the pale and utterly embarrassing. It was 2008 all over again.

2008 would be offended by that comparison.

The defense improved as the year went on (how many times did our shitty defense bail out our offense against Florida?). The offense was stale with Brennan (see 3rd down, red zone, and rushing yards), and is still stale (too many 3 and out to keep track of, I imagine TOP is terrible). We forced TJ too long and forced Curry into the rotation too often. OL sucks. WRs drop too many balls. I will be distraught if E/Linnehan/Cregg return. Not sure about Faulk or our WR coach either.
