Man, the optimisim is just FLOWING--no! POURING out of you, isn't it? Care to make this a lodgical discussion by giving your opinion(s) as to why you believe our offense will be so poor? Or would you rather simply come off looking like a whiney brat?
We lost 95% of our scoring power from last year and some how you think the offense is going to pick up where it left off? If anything the other side of the ball will be this teams strong point this year. It doesn’t take Steven Hawkins to tell you that. I think Arkansas and Alabama will have a better offense then us therefore forcing our D to step it up. TBone tour us a new A$$ last year and AU flat out whipped LSU’s butt. So instead of crying about the topic you should try giving some input son. We want to know.
Yeah, especially with all the stiffs we got coming in, and the JR High offensive coordinator. And exactly how does that differ from the last several years? Arky may have a better running game than us, but to say they'll have a better offense is pretty freaking funny. Did you see their QB last year? And Bama hasn't been an offensive juggernaut in quite sometime. He beat us on 3 plays. Let's see how he holds up to the wear and tear of a full season against SEC defenses before electing him to the SEC Hall of Fame. Total yards LSU = 311 AU = 182 Passing Yards LSU = 269 AU = 110 Rushing yards LSU = 42 AU = 72 Yards per rush LSU = 1.8 AU = 1.9 Turnovers LSU = 0 AU = 1 OK, let's see, they got a grand total of 30 more yards on the ground than us (0.1 more per carry), other than that, LSU completely dominated a low scoring defensive struggle. I have absolutely no clue how anyone can say "AU straight up whipped our butts", because that just didn't happen. Ignoring the officiating (which I'm sure someone will chime in about), we came less than 3 yards from winning the game. That's it 3 yards. Instead of just making crap up to get a reaction, go home and do a little homework.
LSU has plenty of talent and with Crowton, our offense is going to fit nicely with our atthletes. Flynn doesnt have to be anything like JR for our offense to be great. He just has to be precise on the short routes, good timing, continue show leadership, and get the WR and RBs space to show their stuff. Just because our Offense is different in some major areas from last year doesnt mean LSU wont be effective.
so um. with NO offense (that would be only 5% left), we still get a #2 preseason ranking, and projected to play for the :crystal: . Damn thats pretty solid!!
