1. I paraphrased. :D You're very careful what you say Terry, but we are not stupid. You shill for your team, we all do. That's fine and you are good at it. But you are more transparent than you imagine.

And I said "Bammer Nation", you aren't the only Crimson voice online. But here are three Terry quotes that a reasonable person might say reflects your feelings.

"Does pass efficiency defensive rankings mean anything to you? If a secondary [LSU] gives up more points, in fewer games, than another secondary chances are the former isn't as good ..." [LSU is overrated]

"LSU has played one less game than Bama and has @ 30 less attempts against the secondary ... with the about the same number of completions."
    [LSU can't pass]

"LSU played one top 25 team, Bama two. Bama has played four in the top 30 (SEC) and LSU two."
    [LSU plays nobody decent]

  2. There is no disputing that neither D is where either team wants it to be. Both D's have given up a lot of big plays and have trouble, especially against the pass.

I would have to give LSU the advantage in the secondary. Most of our issues come from playing zones, in man the coverage tends to be much better. We also need to use Jackson more and Thomas less. I like what I see from Battle. Bama has a lot of talent but there is something missing.

THe Bama front seven definitely has the nod over LSU. While we have seen a lot improvement from last year. Bama has a great run stopping DL and LB's.

As a unit I'll give Bama the nod but it's not a landslide. Both sides show inconsistency.

Offensively I think LSU has advantages at RB and WR's. I'd also take Harris over Coker. The play calling goes to Bama though. They do consistently throw the ball so opposing teams don't stack the line. LSU throws more but no consistently enough to get teams to back off some.

I would say that the OL's are a push. Both have shown moments of sheer dominance, while at other times they look mediocre.

Special teams, well we know it's not LSU.

I think the game comes down to adjustments on both sides. As well as which team can get more plays in the passing game. I was feeling confident about this game, but I am getting concerned as it is coming up.
  3. You guys can put me firmly in place on this statement.

    You're underestimating the Bama secondary.
  4. "LSU has played one less game than Bama and has @ 30 less attempts against the secondary ... with the about the same number of completions." [LSU can't pass]

    @red55 Really.

  7. I'm not worried in the least about Bama's secondary, they are average. I'm very concerned about the Bama front seven. Without a great front seven this years Bama secondary would be toast.

  8. I doubt it. I've watched them play, there is nothing special about them. That front 7, especially the linebackers, are great.
  9. I saw them play together. They went under the name Three Blind Mice.
  10. Splain me dat, please. I missed something here.
