I think we need to be able to complete about 18-22 passes a game if the running game holds up like it is. TE's, RB's and WR's are all in the mix this early + have have ran the read option and normal option.
Yeah, but we need more yardage with those completions. How many passing yards, of the little we have, have been on passes less than 5-7 yards downfield? I'd love to see some of those big shots we saw at times last year to Dural.
I think Harris would have been around 150+ today with a bit better touch. But I agree. There will be a game where the running game doesn't click. (maybe)
Lmao. We beat the freggin brakes off off Auburn yet these miserable phucks aren't satisfied. Remember it is is first SEC start in front of his home crowd. Pressure pressure pressure.
I'm glad the team doesn't think like this. It's always about getting better in season. Never be satisfied.
We're going to find out Auburn is a pretty bad team by year's end. Plus the revenge factor. But we played to our expectations, which was great to see. Had this been a 28-24 win coming down to the last few plays, I'd be seriously worried.
I agree but I promise what happened today is something to celebrate and I promise you the team IS celebrating.
One thing I am happy to see is all the misdirection we're running with Fournette in the game, with end arounds and the like. So from that perspective we're trying to fool the defense. Although during major portions of the game, it appears as though we can telegraph our play and we still succeed. That's a huge credit to the O-line and our tremendous talent at RB (see Williams and Guice). I just want to be clicking on all 8 cylinders when we play our last 4 tough regular season games. Not 6 cylinders.
