Drew Brees couldn't have completed many passes behind that O-line. Right now, I think Harris is an average QB. But given our coaching staffs history with QBs I'm not sure he'll progress much. With the right coaching, he could be lights out by his senior year.

Drew Brees easily could have, he gets the ball out quick. Did you happen to watch the Giants last night against the Patriots? Quick passing, 3 step drop max. You have receivers and tight ends who can catch most of the time. Harris did get blown up fast on a couple of plays but there were quite a few sacks, 3 to 4 where he had time to at least get rid of the ball. He doesn't process what he sees fast enough.

Can we trade him for Brady and Gronkowski?

We shelter our QB until we find a better one.

We've been looking for that better one since 2008.

We don't have a coaching staff or an offensive scheme that would allow Harris execute quick passes. I think he could very easily do it. Coaching is not or does not have in the playbook plays that will counter aggressive DL play or compensate for our lack of OL blocking. It's strange, everyone else in the free world has plays to counteract good defensive play or poor offensive play. We still play action fake out of the gun and run plays that take time to develop (like throwing deep).

It's all in the playbook. It's just not used.

Right, we have seen these plays, and seen them work, it's almost like once a play works it's scrapped but if it fails we keep running it until we get it right. It's practice mentality in a game.

He's got a cannon for an arm. (That's part of the reason our receivers have had the dropsies). I was hoping he could be groomed into a taller version of Herb Tyler or another Rohan.

Brett Favre and John Elway had cannons for arms too. Didn't seem to prevent their receivers from catching the ball
