What I'd like to know is how in the hell can we not have a quarterback who can take us down the field consistently. TCU's qb goes down, they roll in #2 off the bench and continue on without issue. I see this with other teams also, AGAIN and AGAIN. Not us though, we can't put ONE on the field to lead consistently.
Actually TCU #2 not so good, #3 was better but is wait for it...........another freshman, I think the 30th of his type to play this year. However, unlike LSU, offensive startegy was severely overhauled after 2013........waiting for Miles to do the same, it will never happen, he would rather get fired.
And I am not really sure why there are those out there that will never acknowledge this fact, instead blaming players and coordinators.
Do we need to list the 4 and 5 star receivers on this team to reaffirm the fact that this offense should be well balanced pass and run? The talent there is staggering based on the results we are getting out of this unit.
I think I know the answer to why we shelter the QB. He isn't smart enough to run 100 percent of this offense. Brandon Harris proved last night he can't win games unless the offensive line is playing lights out and the running game is tip top.
Take waht back. We have really good series... sometimes. The play calling just before half last night was perfect. Unfortunately, we never saw it again. IN anycase, we are inept. LF7 was literally running for 6-8 yards a pop in the second half and we stopped feeding him and in turn looked to our piss poor Oline to pass block.
I mean, Harris had issues, but the Oline was shit from the get go. When running for your life, not many QB's make great decisions. Harris has proved he can make the throws. Everyone just likes to point out when he makes a bad one. There are far more good ones than bad ones. Not something we could have said for the Oline blocking last night.
blows my mind people still cant grasp this after 11 years or that its even a discussion. no one runs this nonsense. its staggering people will blame any OC they prop up in the booth when its the same thing over and over. like an abused spouse. blame something else, always. assistants, players, recruiting, weather, refs. thats why jimbo wanted out. he and miles are so different philosophically they butted heads constantly many had said. i can understand why. this is nothing new.
