I can't blame the receivers for wanting to get the passing game going. I think a part of the problem with them dropping so many passes is the fact they get so few opportunities that they press when the few do come. That said, step the fuck up or shut up. As for Robinson's statement, you honestly have to say it true. Miles and Chavis gave away the two previous games. In '11 and '15 Miles lack of coaching played a major part of LSU losing. I've mentioned it before, but I worked with a close relative of Dupre, he said many family members were trying to persuade him to go to FSU for this very reason. Feeling Miles lack of wanting to pass the ball would hurt Dupre's improvement.
I don't disagree with the receivers but people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones (if that's how that saying goes) they should make sure they are playing outta control before they call someone else out. And they shouldn't do it on twitter. They are entitled to feel however they want, but they should talk to coach about it, not put it out there, it's a slap in the face to every coach and teammate they have and it's selfish. As far as Cam Robinson goes, I think the statement is true, but he has no idea why Fournette or any other person goes to LSU, so he should keep his fat Gump mouth shut. And yes I consider him a Gump, his Louisiana citizenship should be revoked. He and any other person born in Louisiana that chooses to go to that school. Fuck em. People from LA don't go to LSU to be different they go to LSU because they aren't cowards and they have pride in their home state, not a rent a championship school.
LSU is going to finish top 6 in recruiting for a 4th straight year since that 2011 debacle. It hasn't affected recruiting at all to see this team so pitiful in big games against Bama, year after year. 2013 = 6th 2014 = 2nd 2015 = 6th 2016 = 1st (projected to finish top 3)
So are we out talented by Bama or not? I've been told we don't belong on the same field. I've also been told Bama's recruiting rankings are inflated. I'm so confused.
Exactly, it depends on what fits the narrative at the time. It all comes down to 1 thing and its not that hard to figure out...
We aren't out talented as a whole. But we are where it matters the most, on the defensive line and at linebacker. And let's face it, they get more out of their talent.
There is a reason why LSU has the most players in the NFL of any college yet is 3-4 in bowl games since the national championship... and it wears a white hat.
A couple of years ago, my husband was on a plane to Cleveland with a member of their coaching staff. The coach told him that the schools the NFL likes "the best" in producing NFL-ready players was LSU and UGA. What about Alabama? He said they were pretty beaten up by the time they made it to the NFL. Take it for what it's worth, but that was from an NFL insider.
