Til the Alabama game? This harkens back to 2012 when Mettenberger was babied for way too long and by the time we played Bama he was finally forced to throw the ball that 2nd half and nearly won the game. That game spelled the difference between LSU and Bama being national champs over a horrible Notre Dame team. Play action. It's there in spades. Not asking to throw it 35 times. But this offense would be unstoppable with play action passing mixed it at an appropriate ratio.
That's what you'll be uttering when we're stymied for 140 yards rushing and can't complete a forward pass vs Bama.
Play calling was much better dude. They just didn't connect as good as we would like, but it was damn sure better than last week. Stop trolling.
Not sure what game you were watching. 12-17, 74 yards. That's not taking advantage of anything in the passing game. There should be 20 and 30 yard passes downfield wide open. But we play action faked maybe 3 or 4 times all game long. Maybe.
There were about 23 pass plays called. Harris tucked it a few times. 2 clear drops, 1 that was so/so, and two just a tad too high for TD's. Reps man, reps. Chill..
Very true, but we have to go down the field more leading up to the Bama game. We all know 70-something yards passing probably won't get it done against Bama.
