I stayed up til 4 am. MSNBC/NBC could have called it a long time ago. They had given Bush the state of Ohio rather early (maybe 1 or 2 am), but refused to give Nevada to Bush, which was much more obvious a Bush win than was Ohio. It was funny. The 2000 election really got to the guys who run these networks. They were really really chicken sh!t last night.
Great, I'll probably be in Meridian in about two years. Well, at least I won't get my hopes up about a decent night life! As long as there is a good place to watch LSU games, I'll be happy.
My buddies and I stayed up til about 2am I think. We were trying to stay up and see how long it was gonna take CNN to admit Bush won.....I think they were still hoping Kerry could pull 200,000 votes out of the last 2% of precincts in Ohio when I went to bed. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.....GW 0wns....
There are no sports bars here. I watch the games at either my bro-in-law's or mother-in-law's. Either way I am surrounded by opposing fans.
