No sh!t huh? Hell, they could put LSU in the New Orleans bowl for all I care. It would just garner even more attention for LSU. Just think of the headlines, especially if the other bowls aren't as "exciting" as they're predicted to be. In all seriousness though, if the Outback, or any other bowl, chooses to pass over LSU in light of what happened this season, to hell with them. This team deserves to be rewarded well. If we do end up playing in the IB, so be it. I'd much rather play for fellow Louisianians than selfish Yanks any day of the week. It may not be as prestigious as other bowls, but our people know what LSU means to the state and I think it would be fitting, but... :geauxtige LSU! :laflagwav
lol, check my math... OK.. Here's a math lesson. Sugar bowl payout = 14.3 million LSU gets 1.7 million for a BCS bowl and the rest is divided by 13. 14,300,000 - 1,700,000 = 12,600,000 12,600,000 / 13 = 969,230.79 I'm not figuring travel expenses but what is that...maximum 100K? IF that. I don't see why chitty teams should be rewarded for LSU's success.
Saban took Bertman to the top again ... and even after all those years the Skipper won in Omaha, Saban showed him ... "FOOTBALL IS KING" 1. LSU's overall facilities are the best in College Sports ... no one even close to our FB facilities. Skipper needs to build a new BB complex. Hats off to the Skipper for his new Baseball Stadium initiative. Skipper gets a "B" on his overall handling of facilities/upgrades/improvements and a new BB complex is needed also ... prolly after Skipper finally fires that worthless Brady and gets a quality coach in here. His hiring/handling/assessment of coaches is laughable ... a "D" at best It's not happening quickly enough at LSU ... sadly, LSU is losing that vision to get to the top in all sports ... Skipper gets a "D+" on his report card and needs to learn his lessons and look back at what they accomplished for LSU FB ... AND APPLY THEM TO THE OTHER SPORTS No reason that LSU cannot have a Top 10 program in all 4 major sports each year ... Football, Baseball, Basketball and Track. I recall a Movie called "Field of Dreams" ... and a saying ... Build it and they will come Build it, Skipper ... and they will come
