Good point CParso. I should've stated that as a caveat.

If we lose this game people will (and should) say that we can destroy bad teams but can't pull it out against top-tier SEC squads.

My My My! Miles "better" this & Miles "better" that! Miles ain't gonna pull out the stops UNTIL you show Miles he's gonna lose. You got to "show" Miles he's gonna lose before he allows 75% passing, even if it costs LSU a NC shot. Think I'm full-of-it!

Stats don't lie! I'll prove my point.

I listened to the Wednesday Night talk show and WAS SHOCKED!

Miles was asked about the importance of this game!

He said it was still TOO EARLY in the season and downplayed the game's importance!

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This answer and the "balanced attack" answer have me convinced that this guy is gonna play the same old shenanigans we used against AU.

I agree with 90% of the previous posters. This is THE GAME for LSU. LSU has to play "fearless" FB, not Miles FB. If LSU doesn't pass more than 30 times

Statistical Facts for LSU 2006 FB
    These are called "tendencies".
Wanna KNOW WHY TEAMS STOP THE LSU RUSH GAME

ULL game stats are thrown out ... just to even make a GREATER POINT HERE.

Arizona game --- LSU 38 rushes (remember this number) + 23 passes
Auburn game --- LSU 38 rushes (hehehehehhehehehehe) + 37 passes (15 in 4th Qtr) :dis:
Tulane game --- LSU 32 rushes (hey, is this progress) + 28 passes
Miss St game --- LSU 38 rushes (Jesus Palomino NO) + 23 passes

Based on Miles ridiculously transparent "poker face" & Wednesday show,

    1. LSU is gonna rush thirty-something times in this game (one of your polls would be nice here)
    2. LSU is gonna pass twenty-something times in this game.

Expect LSU to exceed the 30 passing play mark ONLY IF Fla shows Miles LSU is gonna lose. Then, you'll see 15 passes again in the 4th Qtr

Fla's DC knows this. He can't wait for LSU to run 38 times. That mofo is on his knees tonight praying to sweet jesus for Miles & the LSU rushing game to "Let er rip". I've got to believe that Miles won't disappoint him

Where did you get your numbers? According to LSUsports.net we rushed only 23 times against Auburn.

And if we win, many of the fans whining about Miles still won't give him any credit. Hell, they didn't give him any credit for last year, so I expect much of the same this year.

Those who already made up their mind about Miles won't change it unless he wins a MNC. And even that might not convince some.

If Week 3 was considered "Separation Saturday," then this weekend surely must be "Desperation Saturday." This will be the weekend that determines who moves forward in the divisional races and who drops behind, never to return.

LSU and Tennessee are in must-win situations, and fortunately they both can. But if either team falters, then color them "gone" from the conference divisional races.

Auburn must beat Arkansas or it loses control of it's own destiny in the West. Likewise, Arky and Nutt desperately need a stabilizing win over a quality opponent - now.

Georgia needs a quality win before entering it's second half of the season.

Florida needs a win to have a shot at getting through a murderer's row schedule unscathed, but they aren't deserate ..... yet.

This is a big weekend in the SEC, folks, and desperate teams tend to play exceptionally tough. Good luck against the gators. :thumb:

Did you consider that Miles doesnt usually release info about football because he is very secretive. Miles wants FLA to think we are sticking to our same old game plan. We know that Miles was teaching this game plan during the Spring. We saw that during the ULL game. Rule of thumb: Dont believe Miles when he does release information because we all know he doesnt like to do that in the first place. So dont think about it too seriously.:nope:

    How important is this game?

For you, perhaps the difference between a BCS appearance and a CapOne or Outback thingy.

For me, it's much more vital. I have to live with Gator fans all day, everyday, morning, noon, and night. Please spare me the agony of their chirpy, little voices. I think two back to back losses should do the trick... and I fully expect you to start it off. Don't let me down.
