Sorta seems like The Hat's agent came to town and rather than negotiating a buyout, which was what many thought would be done, he negotiated a better contract for his client.

Is it really more complicated than that ?

Dude, the system wouldn't let me give you any more points, so thanks.
Buy a round send Nick the bill - he can afford it.

    Nail meet head!

Oh, double check your source - the Oak Grove ham radio operator (there is only one in the town) is my mother's second cousin by a previous marriage.

Boy, that source of Terry's, oops, I meant Herbie, just seems to get firmer with every passing moment. Directly from the news agency that individuals(not affiliated with that news agency) claim have evidence of Miles dishonesty:

Gee, sure looks like that news agency that has so many people running around with proof of Miles lying is backing away from this story faster than we can keep up.

Please let us know where Jimmy Hoffa is hanging out next.:milesmic:

It's the MO of a lot here to say I talk like king gump when it comes to Alabama, but I've yet to see a soul point to something I've put out there about the program that was wrong.

You know well I'm not going to name who it was that I talked with about this. Your "put up or shut up" comment isn't going to move me either way as well.

You certainly are an idiosyncratic character with a view that Jeff Lebowski would be proud of.

Why not ? Truth is you probably don't have a sources in the "ESPN family" as you put it. Wouldn't put much stock in what they have to say anyway, just ask Herbie. We tend to believe our coach more than your coach when it comes to where his next coaching gig will be.

i suspect terryp does have a source, albiet a suspect one. unfortunately terryp has made the classic mistake of painting CLM with the broad brush that saban was painted with in regards to his responses to job opportunities.

come out of the back-room, smoke and mirrors, cigar chomping world of half-truths and deception that is and has been alabama football and take a breath of the fresh air that is CLM. above board and forthright with his team and his university and those that support them.

i know this is hard to understand given the model that is the head coach of your team but it simply is what it is, no matter how much scurrying is done to cover tracks and a$$es.

The LSU team was preparing like any other team does. What is your point? You have actually have NO evidence that the LSU team was doing anything else, do you? People around the team certainly follow the media and so do the media on hand. The team doesn't have to be watching ESPN for a huge ESPN "scoop" to happen, is that not obvious to you?

You tell us, since you are the only one that seems to think that this is relevant to anything. If you have a case to make, then make it.

Les Miles stated on the record at the time what the purpose was. To counter a nationally reported "breaking story" announcement that he was leaving for Michigan which would have been a distraction for his team.

Well then, you should know more before you start making wild speculations. I have to ask you the same question that I asked before? Why are you accusing our coach of lying?

Give us your evidence . . . make your case. Or suffer the slings and barbs of the righteous.
