yeah, terry, it is your thing. you act like a self-righteous know-it-all about any and every program, and you talk down to people like you are king gump. that in itself is inflammatory. and by the way, it's oklahoma state, not okie state. i don't own the university. t boone does.
You must spread some reputation around before giving it to OkieTiger again Remind me to never piss you off.
terry, LSU fans aren't delusional enough to think a coach will never leave the program. bama fans have that distinction. Les said he would stay, we will see. Herbie said on TV that we would know come Monday or Tuesday this week. We should know soon since ESPN knows, you know, like Bo knows. :miles: :laflagwav
That is the most ludicrous proposition I have ever seen on this board. What are you going to do? Swear me to secrecy? What in God's name would prevent me from recanting my statements, proclaiming you correct and pasting everything you "prove to me"?? Do you really think everyone on this board came down with the last drop of rain?? I am supposed to name my family member? Why? Did I say he "knew" anything" one way or another? No, I didn't and I didn't rely upon my relationship with someone to refute your statements. I did so to illustrate that you were incorrect about me not having sources about my own program. You come here and proclaim special, "not-so-privileged" information that implicates our coach as a liar, but you fail to provide a single shred of evidence. Again, I say, if ESPN could prove it, they would prove it. Just explain that if nothing else. This is not a bama board, not even a neutral national board. This is a LSU BOARD. Put up or shut up.
Cause we know there's really a "B" at the beginning of your name and not a "Nutria"? And your name isn't Okie. *Tiga shaking "C", come back "C" we're going home to Kansas* :hihi:
According to LSU Chancellor Sean O'Keefe, that is all wrong. He stated Miles was never leaning toward Michigan, never used the Michigan situation to up his salary at LSU since he knew if he won the SECCG he would be due a heafty raise anyway, and that there was no "summit" meeting between him and Miles. Contract negotiations went on all last week and lead to Miles's agreement on the contract. O'Keefe said that there was "nothing dramatic" about Friday night and it did not include any formal sit down meeting. It was simple the end results of ongoing talks between him and Miles and his agent. O'Keefe asserts that ESPN's story had nothing to do with his decision to stay at LSU or the timing of the announcement. He and Miles had decided Friday to make the announcement before the game.
I feel the need to be honest - my last name is not inMemphis - but my first name is Mike and I have stayed in a Holiday Inn Express a couple of times.
I read this whole thread and still don't see why it would be controversial for Miles to tell his team he was staying at LSU and also hold a press conference to let the fans and media know that he intends to stay at LSU. What better time to do it than before the SECCG in that with all the rumors that were suddenly swirling around about him being gone to Michigan and that it was a done deal. Could you break that down for me TerryP as to why he shouldn't have held that press conference at that time or why this is somehow mystifying to you? (or maybe not, who cares)
