Thats a big task to ask of a freshman, IMO. I agree with you BTW. Excluding the Freak, Downs needs to reach his potential this season. It's time for him to contribute regularly.

We don't have a particularly DOMINATE DT this season (at least a "known" one that has the SEC resume' to back it up). No Lavalais, Wrotens', Williams, Dorsey's or Nevis' just yet. But we need the next member of that group to emerge this season.

There will be times the front 4 could have RFr, TFr, So, So. or TFr, So, So, So. Really on the front 4 only one Sr. in the group (K. Adams). They could have the same thing with the DB's, you could have most if not all So's. in the lineup. We have a good mixture of vets and youth. Not a bad place to be in for the next couple years.

Looked good with the return of Taylor and Montgomery. The others filled in well. The loss of Nevis, PP7 and Sheppard, along with Special teams player Graff. I said we are getting back to the 2007 numbers.

Its not that we have one single stud ,like the birdtigers last year, we have a front group that are all gifted and have chemistry. They complement each other well. When you play as an unit there isn't that much of a drop off when the #2's come in.

True, like last year when Sam and Brandon Taylor went out, we just kept on ticking. To add, the only real Sr. on this front 4 is Adams. Too much talent returning.

Yes he did, 4 tackles and a pass broken up.

Simon also had a great game with 8 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 Int and 3 passes broken up.
