What happened to Paul Byrd? He is a former LSU pitcher who had a good year with Kansas City last year and signed with the Braves. I know he was on the injured list early in the season but I haven't heard anything about him since then.

Here's what Lou has to say about Greene:

"David Greene played the best game I have ever seen at quarterback last week. He picked up every blitz, including a corner blitz we had never run. . . . Not only is he a good thrower, that guy is so smart."

I think the Braves are getting more attention because of the offense that they have produced this season.

A big turn around in run production...

I've seen several franchise records surpassed and a few major league records tied or broken as well.

Unfortunately, the Braves Bullpen is weak at this point, so they may not get too far in post season play.

For the person who asked... I didn't know that Paul Byrd played for LSU. Thanks for letting me in on that. He has had a tough time with rehab after his surgery. The doctors simply told him that he would just have to give his arm the proper amount of time.
Byrd has been in the dugout, but thats about it.

That's the reason the Yanks will miss out too...and the Red Sox. Watch out for Oakland (just getting hot) and the Giants. Could be another Bay Area Series (remember the earthquake?).

Now, to keep this thread in Tiger Den:

    Hopefully, not good enough.
