Although lately they haven't been too hot in the NCAA tourney but remember in back to back seasons he got his squad to the Sweet 16 and then the National Championship game.
Yeah but i'm not too sure someone there is doing a good job recruiting. I mean they have talent out the wazoo but you can't win in basketball when everyone wants the ball. This year may be different though because I think that UF is 100% better without Roberson (and Walsh) on the floor. Roberson was the most cocky SOB in the nation last year and I dont hate that he didn't get drafted at all. He's my most hated college basketball player ever--oh besides Mario Austin. LOL I just dont see UF doing too well. Their team the last few years has just resembled the And1 traveling squad. It's like they go out and TRY to draft the "hardest" thugs.
How far will LSU basketball go this year.... Hmmmmm....... Approximately 850 miles north northeast, that's how far.
I honestly think that we have a good enough team to make it to the Elite-8 without TOO much trouble, depending who we'll have to play in the NCAAs. I think a more realistic and probable scenario is an advancement to the Sweet-16 (I think that depending on how close we are as a team at that point will determine if there is enough leadership to advance to the Elite 8, or lose, perhaps, a close-one to a higher seeded team.) Lazare has GOT to be a surprise so far early in the season, that is a BIG boost, I'd give him an A+ for effort and his new-found scoring abilities, he needs to keep it up! Big Baby needs to take care of turnovers, like the entire team needs to, but other than that, he's going to compete and score. D Mitch needs to be consistent and confident from beyond the arc this season for us to really have a chance. T Mitch is capable of SEC play as a freshman, that's a plus. Thomas is nice for a few points a game... We NEEED Tack to play smart and cool as he's an added jumpstart when needed. We also need his leadership, so I hope he cools-it-down for the sake of the younger guys. Ben Voogd needs to develop a little quicker. I really miss Ross Neltner, Brandon Bass and Regis Koundjia. They would have added MUCH needed depth to this team... I almost hate to think how nice it would have been to have them still here. Especially Neltner. The guy was an "idiot" (ok, so not really) for leaving, he would have had a substantial role this season.
Give credit to coach J. Brady. + B. Baby + T. Thomas + T. MIch + D. Mich + D. Lazare If Tac has improved as much as T. Thomas & D. Lazare. WATCH OUT.
