    Ever heard of Marcus Monk?

From SI.com ....It's been a long time since Arkansas has had a game-breaking receiver like Marcus Monk. QB Casey Dick (and part-time QB Darren McFadden) just throw it up there and the 6-foot-6 junior comes down with it. Over the past three games, Monk has 21 catches for 380 yards and five TDs.

Monk is a very good WR, but I expect the pressure LSU brings on Casey to be a very limiting factor for him.

you know LSU will bring the pressure so the question becomes: can the LSU db's hold down monk & co 1 on 1?

But Monk is a guy who thrives in one on one coverage, so if LSU is stacking 8 in the box then hes going to wreak havoc on Chevis and Zenon, especially if they play like they did against Bama.

Well, Arkansas' main strength is obviously McFadden. But no one has run on LSU all season, Arkansas may provide the biggest challenge as far as stopping the run is concerned. I believe LSU's D-Line is too much and will be enough to stop McFadden. I'm sure he will have big runs but LSU will make Arkansas pass more than they want to. And that will be the key. Offensivley, Keiland Williams will have a great game! :geauxtige

Most of our yards came when?

    Against Auburn: 3 points
1st Quarter: 38 yards (2 Punts; 1 Turnover on Downs)
    2nd Quarter: 55 yards (1 Punt; 1 FG)
    3rd Quarter: 71 Yards (3 Punts)
4th Quarter: 125 Yards (1 Turnover on Downs)

Because Less Miles thought it would be a good idea to finally pass the ball when it was pretty much too late, the "success" of our offense came in the 4th quarter. LSU finished with 23 rushes for 42 yards and an average of 1.8 YPC.

    Against Florida: 10 points
    1st Quarter: 78 yards (1 TD; 1 Punt)
    2nd Quarter: 75 yards (1 Fumble; 1 INT)
    3rd Quarter: 129 yards (1 Punt; 1 Missed FG; 1 FG)
    4th Quarter: 58 yards (2 INTs)

Not exactly productive, my friend. LSU finally has found a RB in Williams and I think if we win, he'll be the difference.

In terms of the schedule, I think LSU has a slight edge in the sense that the Ark game would be their last game of the season, so that can go all out; whereas the Arkies have the burden of the SECCG the following week, which can be a distracting factor, and that they already know they are going to that big SECCG (assuming by that time they have beaten Miss State and Auburn having beaten Alabama). A win against the Tigers "may not subconsciously" mean as much to them than winning against Florida in the SECCG. Let's hope they started to look ahead:D

Looking forward to the game, I'll be intrested to see if you guys can stop the run. If you try to stack 8 in the box then it could be a long night with monk. You have far and away the most talented team we'll see this year but I'm not sure you can stop DMAC. If so we can kiss our NC hopes goodbye

I'll throw in my two cents.

Obviously LSU has had Arkansas' number for the majority of the time since the Hogs joined the SEC. It's no lie that Arkansas fans are always more anxious for this "rival" game more so than LSU fans. Personally I quote rival because it seems your true rivals are Auburn, Tenn or a Mississippi school. Arkansas honestly don't have an SEC rival since our SWC days had a bloody death. I have been to rival games before and LSU/Arkansas does not have the animosity of one at all. It's pretty weak to me, but then again that's just my opinion.

Some of my family is from Louisana and have been life long Tiger fans. I grew up with my mom and grandparents so I was born Razorback red. I am partial to LSU though. I don't hate em' and even root for you guys majority of the time. (Unless it was against Bama to finalize our place in the SEC Championship game, hehe.)

My uncle talks too much crap though. "You guys got lucky at Auburn, and they cheated us." Blah blah blah.

My thoughts on the game are simple. People have been downplaying the Hogs all year and are getting owned for it. From fans across the country to opposing teams it seems even #5 in the human poll isn't enough respect. Which is ironic considering the consensus of who's the best player in the SEC thinks it's #5, McFadden.

Personally I think the game will be close. I expect Arkansas to pull away at the end and come out by 14 mainly due to the overpowering run of the Hogs and speed of the defense. Especially the DLine who has been flat owning the SEC all year. I hope for an LSU defense that puts 8 in the box. It won't work, and will open up the passing game even more. Casey Dick is an underrated QB, he can fling the ball down the grass no problem. Monk is a top 3 reciever in the south by now. DMac will get his numbers and if and when LSU does do an 8 in the box those LBs are going to cheat one way or the other, pass or run. And DMac can do both.

Anyways I expect a close game til the fourth. I think by then talent will take over and win the game for the Hogs. I have nothing but respect for LSU but since Saban left, LSU has slowed down. I knew you guys couldn't run off the last of his recruits forever. Not dissing your team but it's evident what teams are better. (In comparing this years LSU to some of the recent years LSU) The Tigers just don't have as many names as they once did, which is good news for the rest of the SEC. Even my Tiger side of the family admits to this.

Anyhoo. Good job screwing the Vols. I love seeing them get beat.

Good luck in LR. You guys have had it for years now anyways.
