Yea, that would be the Sudler Trophy for years of excellence. There are some who call it "The Heisman Trophy of College Bands". It can only be won once, which means it just gets passed around from band to band. LSU also won the one and only ever held college marching band competition back in the 70's.
1. LSU - Proved it Saturday 2. UGA - Still Second Best despite loss 3. Tennessee - Big win over Crocs 4. Arkansas - #4 is as high as win over Horns gets them so far 5. Auburn - Probably still the best of the 2 loss teams. 6. Alabama - Great game in loss to OU ranks them higher than Crocs 7. Florida - Still a dangerous team if they get their act together. 8. USC - Up and down team No consistency 9. Kentucky - Lorenzen has more weapons than Eli 10. Ole Miss - Cutcliffe on the way out 11. Moo State - Jackie will but just ahead of Cutcliffe in the unemployment line 12. Vanderbilt - What can you say about a team that doesn't even have an athletic department. LSU, UGA and Tennessee among the nations elite. Still in the hunt for the NC, even UGA with some breaks Arkansas might not be too far behind them but maybe not. I'm predicting a loss to Alabama this Saturday. Auburn and Alabama might be pretty equal. I ranked the PaperTigerEagleWarPlainsmen above the Crimson Faces but The Faces showed me a lot in the game against #1 OU. Might make for a great Iron Bowl and either team capable of influencing the SEC West. Florida is an enigma. I picked them to beat the Rocky Tops. Young quarterbacks are good but not yet ready for PrimeTime. Should be a lot better in 04. Despite what Croc fans are saying I don't see Zook joining Sherril and Cutcliffe in the unemployment line this year but if he dosen't do a lot better in 04 he better hope they haven't reduced the unemployment benefits. USC a step ahead of the lowest echelon Kentucky, Ole Miss, Moo U and Vanderbilt. Flush the toilet. Vandy has demoted the Commodore to Buck Private.
