Yeah, definitely WOLF if you have to eat canned chilli. A quick, easy hunting camp dinner is a can of chilli, a can of tamales, Frito's and cheese. Put them in alternating layers in a casserole dish topped with cheese and bake them until the cheese is toasted. Serves two hungry men. Only one dirty dish.
with sliced "sharp" cheddar cheese and saltine crackers. The absolute best chili mix IMO is Wick Fowler's 2 alarm chili kit. The kit contains all the spices necessary to make an excellent chili--don't forget to buy 1- 8 oz can of tomato sauce and of course the ground chili meat :angryfire :angryfire :thumb:
actually i bought into the fallacy of Wolf being the best chili being my dad always said so and would buy it when making hot dogs. then i actually compared the two. hormel was by far better tasting yet the wolf myth continues. try it again for yourself.
MadE a pot of chili yesterday. I like mine with just shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and a bit of onion. If I have anything else it might be a few fritos. I need to go heat it up. This thread made me hungry again!
Bush's (of baked bean fame) has a new chili out now too. It comes in a jar, which is good, b/c about the only thing that I was thought was good about the chili was the fact the jar is recyclable. It's not terrible, but certainly not up to Wolf standards (or Hormel, if you're Tirk.)
