Oh you took that seriously. Where's Don Juan. Oh yeah hes like taint. He only shows up to shit on the program.
Your metrics are skewed. I would have given a zero rather than a -5 for missing the playoffs which happened only once. I would have also would have weighted CWS appearances more heavily. You also give no score for conference titles either regular season or tournament. The guy who makes the stats system can make the results say what he wants the outome to be. I could probably make up a system to show that LSU has a top 10 hockey program.
Not making the postseason is almost as disappointing as making Omaha is exciting, IMO. But my metrics were developed over an hour while my daughter swam and weren't developed to make CPM look bad. On the contrary, I think they proved my previous argument wrong in that in the past five years CPM has led a top 5 program. The five years before that aside from winning the NC he missed out on regional play 3 of 5 years. I'd weigh regular season titles more heavily than tourney championships, but comparing conferences could skew some teams more than others. I'm curious what weights you'd use and how things would shake out, but I'll readily admit my system is not very sophisticated. I am, however, the only one to put forward a metric.
In the past five years O'Cuck lost two regionals and made it to Omaha thrice, beating LSU for the NC. LSU won a regional, lost a regional, and made it to Omaha three times as well (coming in second once). In the past 10 years FU has at least made a regional every year. LSU stayed home thrice. I'll say again, LSU is trending up and higher than I thought, but don't taint your reputation by ignoring facts.
