You lost your Kerry/Edwards sig pic pretty fast. Yesterday I heard a guy on the radio who was named Kerry Edwards. He said he was voting for Bush.

Well the item in my signature was a mere campaign advertisement and once voting was done here in Louisiana and polls closed I did indeed remove it. Of course for now my sig has to counter tirk's.

Ok ok.. fine.. Pick on me. :) At least nobody will go into cardiac arrest any more when they view my posts!

I penciled in Saban but the stupid thing was electronic. So I chose the lesser of two evils and went with Bush. If I hadn't my gf probably would have shot me...twice.

    The People Have Spoken

for all the sean penns and barbara streisands of the world who claimed they were moving to australia if bush was relected, there must be quite a few fueled-up jets waiting on the runways at LAX and JFK. I say GTFO, honor your promise, and how quickly you'll come back crying how great this country is.

this election was a statement by the american people that bruce sringsteen, michael moore and dave matthews are not gonna influence anyone into voting for someone that they don't believe in. george soros, dan rather and the NYT tried their best to bully the election to kerry, but the american people are smarter than those buffoons. I can't tell you how ecstatic I am today, living in this liberal bastion of NYC, listening to the dems whine all day. it's almost as good a feeling as winning the NC last year.

i'm glad you pointed that out, friday. when are all of the (obviously Smarter-than-thou) hollywoodians getting the heck out of our country? they have taken enough of our money (and in return we get Krap); let's throw them a party when they leave. for as blessed as they have been, they sure won't admit the actions from a republican (Gasp!) might have preserved their way of life.
there, i'm through venting. and God Bless the President and his staff. and i approved this message.

I am independent, but I am prone to lean to the moderate candidates. I chose W.
I think Michael Moore, Bruce Springsteen, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Tom Daschle, the laundry list of liberal newspapers (NYTimes and LATimes) and judges, NPR, PBS, CBS, NBC, CNN, Cameron Diaz, Bruce Hornsby, exit polls, George Soros, Terry McCullough(sp?), Al Franken and all the other Left Wing juggernaut who did everything to sell their soul to elect Kerry, in the end lost the election for him.
I really hope that the marginalized Dems take back the reins and help bring America back together. I know too many Dems that admit that the far left is bad for the party and will continue to lose votes. Old school Dems of LA are not the Dems we see today...

Hot Dog, that's a theory I've espoused about the head honchos on the left for awhile now....

They got shown the way in '92 and '96 w/Bubba...Moving to the right and taking traditional Republican issues away from them was the way to control...

Gore tried to continue it, but he lost out...The far left had been screaming for almost a decade after the "left had moved right" so they were appeased with people like Frauline Pelosi and Tom Dunce-schle (the first Minority Leader in half a CENTURY to be voted out of office) to see if they could "make it fly" again.

This culminated in the most far left leaning set of candidates, and ultimately, the most liberal Democratic Presidential candidate perhaps ever...and it blew up in their faces...

Of course the leadership of the left knew that this would happen...Hell, Kerry didn't hold a press conference for 36 days during the campaign after he won the nomination! There has NEVER been a more ambiguous candidate who had more outright media support and coddling.

The leaders of the left knew that to right their ship for the Democratic Party long-term, they had to give up the power and stewardship on the ground to the far left during the short-term.

They gave up short-term power for long term control. The Democrats have GOT to realize that after that damning set of earlier Congressional elections with Landrieu being the only mild "upset" as a Democrat returning and not losing her seat in a somewhat close election, the elections that coincided with the Presidential Election where the GOP consolidated its position of power in DC, that the ONLY way they will get a chance at "the big leagues" in terms of power in DC is to move to the right...

The movers and shakers knew America wasn't ready for "The Giant Leap Left", but would give in to the far left wolves so that they could damn them with their own failure later when they moved back right.

The Democrats consolidated the theory amongst the left that Clintonian politics works for Democrats. They MUST move to the right in their philosophies before anyone will give them credibility and a chance.

I think that this is actually part of a large scale strategy by the leaders of the left to help purge their party of the radicals in the positions of power who are fighting against the move towards the center. It is an inevitability for the party. If they wish to survive politically (there is no other survival in any other manner for them), they must.

It's shrewd, if you ask me...
