1. I can, without hesitation...assure you...that tOSU will NOT win this weekend...or lose for that matter. That is the crux of my argument.:thumb:
  2. they will all have played by the rules in place. if you think not having a ccg is unfair how about the nd provision of the bcs? of course thanks to charlie weiss that won't be a factor for the next 10 yrs or so...
  3. I think, depending on who your team is, there are several teams that are "deserving" of the opportunity to play for the NC this year.

This year has been crazy with all the upsets. Numerous Top 10 teams have lost at home, to unranked opponents, or in "trap" games, i.e. LSU losing @ Kentucky the week after a big win over UF.

In most years, there is at least a couple clear "championship-calibur" teams for most of the season. This year hasn't been that way....

USC was #1 for a while
tOSU was #1 for a while
LSU was #1 for a while

LSU was #2 for a while. USF was even #2!!! They lost and #2 has been like a curse.... how many teams have been ranked #1 or #2 this year?

It's been a wild year, and if tOSU backs into the title game- It's gonna get even worse.

    :geaux:
  4. As for me, this discussion isn't about who deserves to go to the NC game. It's about the depth of the SEC...at least it used to be. I only brought up the BCS because it was suggested that LSU somehow BACKED IN to theirs in '03. I don't think even USC fans think that way...they feel that OU backed in...and they're right.

And as far as the ND clause...it makes me wanna puke, whether they're good or not.
  5. "Deserves aint got nothing to with it" :thumb:

  6. If your point is UF beat tOSU and, therefore, it is proof the SEC is better, then you should also say the PAC 10 was the best conference when fUSC won... or the BIG 12 was best when Texas won... or Oklahoma.... well, you get my point....

And whoever said it's usually the #7 SEC team playing the #3 Big Ten Team in bowls simply doesn't know their facts.

We now send you back to your regular program.:)
  7. That makes no sense. #1 in Big 10 loses by a hundred, or whatever it was, to #1 in the SEC. What does that have to do with fUSC winning against OU, or Texas beating fUSC? Neither of those were Big 10/SEC matchups. I didn't say the SEC was the best conference, nor did I imply it. I implied that the SEC is better than the Big 10.:thumb:
  8. Damn, it made sense to me.

Maybe it has to do with it being 5 pm here in the east and my Happy Hour has started. And you??
  9. Me? I'm always this grumpy when I'm not in a boat.
  10. Yea, but the big 10/12, Pac 10 et al, doesn't play SEC opponents week end and week out. No wonder their records are better. :hihi:
