Set a record for PBU's with 26 in 2003...That was while playing opposite of 1st team All-American corner Cory Webster.

Started his career off at safety, but moved to corner halfway through his junior season and never looked back.

Some say that Webster outshined Daniels in college because Daniels would revert back to depending on his superior natural athletic ability at some points, and ignore technique.

Webster is from Hollywood, Florida, and knows the area. I doubt he'll have a tough transition period getting out to Miami, since it'll be more of a homecoming. This bodes well for his development off the field as a young adult as well. All in all, I think it's a win-win for Miami. He is familiar with the coaching staff in Miami, and is intimately aware of the defensive philsophy and coaching techniques. He will fit in well.

P.S.-->He is an absolutely selfless player. He gave up 11.5 games in his true freshman campaign to aid an ailing LSU secondary in 2001, burning a redshirt at halftime of the SEC Championship game. He broke up 2 passes in the 2nd half to help preserve a 31-20 LSU victory that sealed an SEC Championship and a BCS bid to the Sugar Bowl.

Not that I don't think any of those players are good enough ('cause they are), but his draft really reminded me of Spurrier's drafts in Washington--drafted either former players he coached in college, or from teams that he directly played against.

Guess time will tell if Saban's a better drafter than Darth Visor

Why would you snicker if Saban loses? Are you that childish and immature that you would wish him ill because he chose to move on to the NFL? After everything he accomplished at LSU, you are still pissed at him because he left? Dude, grow up. :dis:

Alot of folks I know are pissed at the way he conducted the move to the Dolphins rather than the move itself. You mention everything he accomplished at LSU, but LSU treated him equally as well. I personally think he left LSU like a no nut pu$$y. While I won't be wishing every Sunday the Fins lose, I hope they blow him out of the NFL about as quick as Spurrier's stint.

Someone had this as their signature but Travis Daniels once said he played for the name on the side of his helmet not the name on the back of his jersey. I am going to miss seeing him on the field especially the way he strut after making a big hit. Wish you much success Travis and a big, fat contract !

Anybody that badmouths Saban and claims to be an LSU fan is so far removed from reality it's ridiculous. The man took LSU football from oblivion to national recognition......how can you be bitter about that? I'm reminded of the Nickolson line in 'A Few Good Men"......you should just thank him and go on about your business. Ungrateful dumbasses.....

I hope he takes it to the NFL with same domination he showed the SEC and especially those pansies at OU......no offense Mr. Peabody, I've just enjoyed the clarity of a fine bottle of wine this evening.

And that is why TD should be listed as one of the GREAT LSU players of all-time.
