It's called big time football. Sometimes you have to play really good teams. Win or lose you have to be able to pick up and go again the next week.
"The Commodores also beat Mississippi (1-2) in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams for their fifth win in seven years in this series. " SI What? Is this correct? Is Ole Miss now Vandy's preferred choice for Homecoming? I don't see how Houston survives this. They are going to bust a Nutt in Oxford. By the way - remember who Nick wanted to be LSUHC when he went to swim with the fishes?
to put it simply, yes. there are a lot of dynamics that go into these games from week to week. to say that alabama's win over penn state is less impressive because the next week they had a tough, close game against a supposedly inferior team isn't necessarily accurate. not saying it isn't, just that time will tell.
Bama put a smack down on them in their house. They should have come out this week breathing fire and looking for some payback. If they came out the next week and played soft again it tells you a bit. Good teams play harder after tough losses, much like Oregon did after the loss to LSU. Penn St is weak this year.
we'll have to agree to disagree. for all the times LSU has played down to their competition, i know better. sometimes teams don't play to their potential when they are facing weak teams, regardless if they are coming off a win or not. just my opinion.
