I am glad you brought this up because this goes to the absolute heart of the problem with Republicans: you have created your own set of facts that are in no way based in truth and you get angry when someone corrects you.

Here is the problem Republicans are faced with Mastermind: The economy is improving and improving quickly. Republicans know that they cannot take any credit for the improvement because they haven't done a single thing to aid that improvement. Just yesterday Mitch McConnell took to the Senate floor to postulate that the economy started getting better as soon as Republicans won back the Senate. The only reason they start peddling that story is because they know who is going to get the credit for these improvements and it isn't them so they feel they need to get ahead of the news and try to take some measure of credit.

 

Yea, just as soon as you prove republicans want to keep it "white and right".

Sure, I'll be glad to. For a five month period that ended this week when the new congress was sworn in every single member of the Republican congress were white and Christian. Let me say that again....every single member of the Republican congress were White and Christian. On Tuesday, Tim Scott, Mia Love and Will Hurd gave the Republicans a whopping 3 members of congress who were not white, but they are still all Christian. This while roughly 30-35% of the American population are non-white and another 25% who are not Christians. I call that white and right.
