    Nonsense.

John O'Neill tries to dupe you into thinking that the one rocket launcher comprises everything John Kerry had to face that day, and comprises everything John Kerry said about that day.

Let's see, ABC is presenting the Viet Cong's version of the story, which I guess in your eyes confirms Kerry's account of what happened. Makes sense, Kerry did do so much to aid their cause once he returned home (see first post by tirk). And according to these accounts, it backs up the original story that there was one guy Kerry chased down who fired a rocket at them originally. It wasn't until later, after that guy was dead, according to the way these eye witnesses describe the sequence of events, the others came in from behind and attacked the American forces, if what I read and heard is correct. They said the swiftboat was firing, they don't mention any return gunfire at that time. No one can say if Kerry chased the guy down and killed him or if he died from gunfire from the boat. The only thing they really dispute is if the guy had on a loincloth or pajamas. This doesn't prove your point, or disprove John O'Neills point, or vice-versa. It's the same old bs from both sides we've seen for the past couple of months. Call this a wash and move on Rex. The following is what I'd love to hear Kerry defend.

They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, tape wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the country side of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.

We call this investigation the "Winter Soldier Investigation." The term "Winter Soldier" is a play on words of Thomas Paine in 1776 when he spoke of the Sunshine Patriot and summertime soldiers who deserted at Valley Forge because the going was rough.

We who have come here to Washington have come here because we feel we have to be winter soldiers now. We could come back to this country; we could be quiet; we could hold our silence; we could not tell what went on in Vietnam, but we feel because of what threatens this country, the fact that the crimes threaten it, no reds, and not redcoats but the crimes which we are committing that threaten it, that we have to speak out.

He wrote the "Unfit for Command" book about Kerry. He took over Kerry's boat after he left Vietnam.

In the democrats spirit of, "it's the seriousness of the charge, not the facts at hand". Maybe the Republicans should launch an investigation to find the reasons why these communist govts. provide so much support for the democratic party. (Chinese campaign funds to bubba, viet cong support for kerry)

We know what bubba gave the chinese, I wonder what kerry has for charlie?

A wash? You can't be serious.

Kerry's citation was for courage under fire from a superior numerical force. The peasants confirm that there were 20 Viet Cong firing on Kerry's boats.

If those peasants were trying to lie in Kerry's favor, because of some edict from their government, they sure could have all easily declared that they saw Kerry kill the rocket launcher. Their honesty lends credence to the Silver Star citations.

Like I said... Bush's supporters live in constant denial.

Never forget that some of the Swift Boat Liars accepted medals for the same incidents involving John Kerry, and now say they thought they were getting those for something else. LMAO. Yeah, sure.

Did you notice the "government handlers" chaperoning the villiagers? They make sure the people say what the government wants them to. "Surprise visit" indeed. I guess every villiage has government reps there just in case of a surprise visit fom the American media.
