More proof that there's one born every minute. ETA: On second thought I make my post and Tiger's making a move. I suspect the bookie's sweating just a bit.
He birdies #16 and is tied for the lead. The CBS executives have got to be shitting in their pants at the prospect of tomorrows TV ratings. Not as much as the Vegas bookie though.
I just read the linked article again. It wasn't a single bookie that accepted the bet, it was a large sports book. Congrats to whoever made the bet.
This bet may be the most insane I've seen. Caesars also took an early lead against a bettor who placed $20,000 on Woods to not win all four majors at -100000 odds. The bet would win $20. Risking 20k to win 20 bucks is sheer craziness. Never seen anything like it.
I don't know if this really happened but a while back a guy told me that he had a buddy who was a big Patriots fan. He bet $1000 before the 2007 season that New England would go undefeated and win the Superbowl. He would win $12 million if it happened. When it got to 18-0 the sports book called him and offered him $2 million the cancel the bet. The idiot said no.
