He didn't want to ignore it but Edith Bunker Babineaux and Ray Nagin had that whole power struggle thing going on. Both are Democrat by the way.

i couldnt agree more. and fema should be a stand alone agency that doesnt have to go through layers of red tape with dhs to get things done.

even the clinton bashers have got to admit, that the appt of james lee whitt to run fema, and the job he did there made it the agency it should be. between that appt and it being a stand alone agency, fema was able to do what they were supposed to. now it is just another dysfunctional dept in a dysfunctional agency.

What does this say about the Democrats and liberals tactics to take away individuals rights?
Supreme court, immenant domain, guns such as DC, New Orleans during Katrina, etc.
Pretty soon you won't have the right to smoke in your own car or house.
Whats next?

Balance is different things to different people, who's decision?
There is no balance in government, too big but some might disagree.

The last thing we ever need in this country is a panel of former politicians making all the decisions such as homeland security.
I blame Bush 100% too.
