He was one heck of a motivator, he knew how to get more out of a kid than what he thought he had in him.

Can't stand to listen to him talk but he WAS one heck of a coach.

TODAY.......Lou Holtz is a GD idiot! And I'm starting to enjoy the way Mark May is starting to call Lou out about his love affair w/ ND. May actually argued w/ Holtz about how bad GT was going to beat ND. AND YEAH ND GOT HAMMERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a sad thing to watch Holtz disintegrate. Long ago and far away, he was a pretty gifted coach and motivator. Now, I don't even know if he'll be in the booth at the end of the season. While a little comic relief is OK, I think we're witnessing a tragic meltdown.

Later on, he called ND's defeat an upset......they will probably have five or six more "upsets" this year.

He used to be quick witted. Quick comebacks, etc. Any of you ever met him in person? PRICK!!!!!!!!

I AM "COACH" HOLTZ......BOW TO ME.....HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME.....I AM HERE TO "POSSIBLY" OFFER A SCHOLARSHIP TO YOUR RB.....MAYBE.............IF YOU PEOPLE ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH.

I FED 28 PEOPLE THIS LABOR DAY.....HAD HE DRIVEN UP AND SAID "THAT SMELLS GOOD" I WOULD TELL HIM TO TRY "BUGGER KING."

I lost my remaining respect for Holtz when it came out that he was one of the coaches who voted USC #1 in the coaches' poll in the 2003 NC season, in violation of the agreement made at the start of the season that the coaches would vote the winner of the BCS championship #1.

Great message to teach your players: if you don't like the end result after agreeing to the rules, just tell yourself it doesn't count and go back on your word.

Corso is better, he picked LSU to with the Sugar Bowl in 2003, and he was one of the few. He has a job to for the network, but he is definitely better than Holtz (who also may be doing a job for the network, at least giving the impression someone thinks its going to be a good game, even if it isn't).

Holtz proves my point that ESPN finds the biggest dumba$$es possible to work for them. They have Herpie, Muffberger, Flutie, James, etc. They once had Trev Alberts, but finally got rid of him.
