The tiger defense ain't doing chit against geno smith... dood has all day to throw and now the defense is getting worn out... we'll still win this game but our pass defense needs to improve big time.
Our secondary is outstanding. Geno got great protection tonight. We need to be able to apply pressure like we did in the first 3 games. Neers played well and we still doubled them up. I'll take it
herbie slobbed our knobs all night. even with geno making us look silly on defense much of the night. also pimping us in his huggy bear suit for #1 votes.
And it will make a difference. Watch tomorrow if we're not at least taking away several #1 votes from OU at a minimum and we'll certainly be a solid #2 in the nation ahead of Bama. I love how Mushburger had to back off there at the end and wanted to keep OU at #1. I knew I was in dreamland when he had us #1 at halftime.
Geno threw the damn ball 65 times. If you throw it 65 times, you're going to throw for 300+ yards. His ypc was pretty much in-line with what LSU has allowed this year.
Actually we were averaging 4.4 yards per attempt on pass defense. So Geno did his thing tonight. Give him, his O-line and his receivers props. They have skills. That being said, they need to be more balanced offensively if they are to win on a consistent basis. LSU's passing game, by contrast, is averaging 7.3 yards per attempt.
and im not sure who they play next week but if its not northwestern st, they will struggle. definition of a letdown game.
