i think you are right. i wish i lived in chicago, thick pizza is so much better than thin foldable floppy slices. i like the super deep dish with the really bready crust. when i read the title, i was hoping this thread was about glory holes. nevermind i dont know what those are.
But the slices from Fleur de lis aren't floppy, they're crisp. I haven't been there since college, but that pizza along with cold beer was the best. In Baton Rouge, across from Frank's is El Rio Grande. In my opinion, they have the best chile rellenos in the world. And I can't remember the name of the place for the life of me, but there is a little Mexican restaurant in Gretna with about five tables and three parking spots out front, but it was a great place.
